The Williams Sound interpreter control unit serves 2 main functions: - It allows 2 interpreters to work together as a 'tag-team' (allowing rapid and silent switching between the 2 interpreters). The interpreters should be for the same language pair. - It provides an independent headphone feed to each interpreter. It requires a line-level connection to your PA system. Multiple units may be used together for multiple languages even allowing for complex 'relay' interpreting functions! (extra equipment may be required). This unit is normally used with the MIC 079 interpreter headsets (1 headset for each interpreter), and the PPA T35 transmitter. The IC-1 Interpreter Control Unit makes life much easier for your interpreters, especially if you have 2 interpreters per language. THIS PRODUCT WILL BE DISCONTINUED AROUND SEPTEMBER 2010. IT IS REPLACED BY THE NEW AND IMPROVED IC-2. THE ITEM ON THIS PAGE IS A USED IC-1 - $495 EACH.
