IR systems can have total security, which makes them great for courtrooms and top-secret meetings. They are often used by government agencies. Some systems, such as Bosch and Taiden, can handle up to 32 languages.

On the other hand, they are generally more expensive than conventional FM systems, in some cases much more expensive. Each radiator has a much smaller range than FM antenna, so you may need several or perhaps even many, radiators (also called emitters). Designing an infrared system requires some specialist knowledge, so we highly recommend that you call us before placing an order. Some IR systems require skilled installation. Most IR systems are not very portable, but Williams Sound systems that use the TX75 are an exception.
